BSN True Mass Review

BSN True Mass is a widely used protein brand that many of people consume each year. Protein of course is needed muscle growth and recovery, but you also want one that is going to have a good percentage of essential and non-essential amino acids for protein synthesis to even take place, and not to mention the biological value is important to look at as well. Sorry to break the news to you, but this supplement is not the BEST you one than you can purchase for the price. However, it is still effective in some ways!

Taste and Mixture
The protein tastes great when mixed with either water or milk, but it did not mix as well as a lot of other brands that cost the same amount, and that was on a day by day basis. What that means is that some days it mixed fine in a shaker cup, and other days it just clumped up no matter how much it was shaken, which makes it feel horrible going down the throat. The taste obviously comes from the amount of sugar they place into the protein, which is not the highest seen in a protein per serving, but it is still 14g of sugar that you are drinking every time.

Effectiveness
True Mass is designed to help you put on muscle mass, but in reality it appears to be more of body fat in terms of mass in their statement. Calories are good to have in your diet if you want to build muscle, but that many calories in a serving leaves the mind wondering how much room the shake is taking up from being able to eat solid foods as well. Muscular growth was not any more special or recognizable than any other lower priced brands of protein, but then again each person’s body is different when it comes to the way a supplement works.

This protein is good pre-workout since it has so many calories readily available to provide you with energy, and it could be good as a meal replacement during breakfast or lunch, and it is good when mixed with oats and fruits in a blender. However, the amount of muscle mass to be gained while consuming this protein is disappointingly mediocre.

Overall Thoughts
Overall this product is good for those in their bulking phase or possibly even newer fitness enthusiasts as well. Over time the body develops sensitivity towards any supplement, and this brand seems to be on the lower end for a body that is already used to protein that is more pure and less worried about fat and calories from a supplement. Make sure to workout out pretty hard while on True Mass because of those grams of sugar, calories, and fats that have been discussed, or else you are going to be putting on a lot of body fat that is not good for even people who need to bulk, but you will never know how it works for your body unless actually trying out a tub of your own.

GNC Pro Performance Amplified 100% Protein Review

Protein is always a good supplement to have if you are fitness training and need more than you are able to eat from natural foods. Another good thing to keep in mind is that you should change your protein brand up from time to time to keep your body from recognizing the same substance over and over again. Your body does build up a barrier after taking one for too long, and could be restricting you from the amount of protein being consumed.

GNC is one of those brands that most people in the fitness community that have been around for awhile ignore. The reason why is because they are very sales oriented and offer misleading advice 80% of the times you go in and speak to a clerk. However, this occasion was set to be spontaneous and buy a brand from the store, so this is what have been its recognizable traits.

Taste and Mixture
Surprisingly for a GNC brand powder this one actually tasted good, which is a relief after consuming some very awful tasting proteins that makes the stomach cringe. This protein also goes well with fruits and oats to make a nice power shake in the mornings. Mixing was an ease with a blender or shaker cup, and it was even mixing with water! Other times water left protein in clumps, but not at all with this protein. Taste and mixture overall is great.

Effectiveness
The effectiveness was much like any other protein out on the market today. Left body feeling pretty good after a hard workout, and muscles developed significantly enough to notice while taking this protein, and working out on a consistent routine basis as well. However, that leads it to not feel like it does exactly what they advertise this protein to do. There are other proteins with the same amount of grams per serving that lead this product to be just moderately a step ahead.

Its features state that it is full of leucine, which is designed build muscle better, but the ratio that growth was expected to be at left this product a bit short in its advertising. A good protein to use, but probably should not expect anything new from it.

Value
As mentioned this protein is not much different than most others that are considered to be lower quality than GNC. However, you will save a lot more if you are looking for a protein that is better suited for extra supported with muscular growth, and avoiding this product. But if you want a decent protein that tastes god and mixes great then this one is right for you. Remember that everybody’s body is different, so keep in mind that you never know how effective it really is for you personally until you try it out. Just like with all protein supplements make sure that you exercise and burn those excess calories. Protein is just an aid for muscle building and does not do the work all on its own!
